New Mexico Residents Only Cow Elk Hunt

Your application will be submitted in the Guided-Pool and you will have much better odds of drawing

Licensed New Mexico Guide for 2 Full Days of hunting, in-field transportation for 2 Full Days, in-field trophy care if needed during the first 2 days of the hunt. 

Meals, Lodging, Taxidermy, Meat Processing, Personal Items, all other aspects of a guided hunt after the first 2 days. 

Meet your guide in the unit you have drawn, where you will link up and begin hunting

$24 Resident Hunting License and stamps

$7 application fee + $60 for the cost of the cow elk permit during the application process

Deadline to apply is Middle of March each year

Level 3 - Theses hunts are moderate to extreme and could include long days on your boots or possibly horseback. Expect times of high physical exertion. A physical training regime is strongly suggested prior to this hunt. 

This will depend on the season and conditions you are hunting. Expect normal western hunting styles to include glassing, covering lots of ground.
